Geolocate a Backflow Device
• This only needs to be done once per device
• Utilities may require geolocation before accepting reports
Step 1 — Search for Customer or Device 🔍
Search by:
• Address
• Customer name
• Serial / Alt ID
Step 2 — Open the Backflow Device Information 📄
Click into the Customer Profile or select the Backflow Device directly.
Click the device to expose available actions.
Step 3 — Open Geolocation 📍
Click Geolocation.
A map window will open.
Step 4 — Find the Location 🗺️
Use one of the following:
• Search the address in the map
• Click Find My Location (if you are on-site)
Step 5 — Place the Device Pin 📌
Click the top right blue pin on the map.
Then drag and position it exactly where the device is located.
Step 6 — Save Location ✅
The location saves automatically based on where the pin is placed.
Step 7 — Continue Workflow ➡️
Once placed, the device is now geolocated.
You can proceed with reports or other actions.
